On the afternoon of April 4th, a group of eight people, including MIKHAIL KORNIAKOV, President of the Irkutsk National University of Technology, DMITRY SAVKIN, Vice President of Foreign Affairs, and SERGEI ANOSOV，Vice President of Student Management，visited Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences). The President of QLUT (SDAS) Prof. Chen Jiachuan and Vice President (SDAS) Prof. He Guoping cordially met the delegation in the conference room 332 of the administration building. The persons in charge of International Office, Student Affairs Office, School of Materials, School of Foreign Languages, School of Finance, School of Electrical Engineering and School of Energy attended the meeting.
President Chen Jiachuan extended a warm welcome to the delegation and briefly introduced the history and development of QLUT (SDAS) and the international exchanges and cooperation.
President KORNIAKOV introduced the development history and school characteristics of the Irkutsk National University of Technology. The Vice President of INUT Mr. SAVKIN introduced the international exchanges and cooperation of INUT and related cooperation and research cooperation with many universities in China.
The two sides agreed that both universities are research-based universities of science and technology, enjoying a high degree of similarity in terms of school goals, development direction and scientific research tasks. Subsequently, in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere, the two sides discussed the possibility and realization path of cooperation in the areas of teacher and student exchange, cooperative education, scientific research cooperation, platform construction, and scientific and technological achievements transformation.
Vice President He made a concluding remark and expressed his gratitude for the reached consensus between the two sides on jointly promoting the friendly cooperation between the two universities and the projects that can be carried out.
