On March 6, Professor Ulla Haggblom of Tampere University of Applied Sciences, Finland, and a delegation of 18 students visited the university . Wu Yantao, Secretary of the Party Committee of the University attended the symposium. Department of International Cooperation  Office and Department of Chemistry and Pharmaceutical attended the discussion. The meeting was chaired by Yang Hetong, Director of the International Cooperation Office.

On behalf of the university, Wu Yantao firstly expressed his warm welcome to the teachers and students of Tampere University of Applied Sciences. He said that Tampere University of Applied Sciences is the cradle of Finnish engineers and entrepreneurs. For more than 100 years since its foundation, TUAS has always been committed to serving the society, especially to serving the local economic development, and has become the best model among the top universities of applied sciences in Finland by virtue of its advanced teaching concepts and talent cultivation modes. The two universities have similarities and similarities in school running philosophy, talent cultivation mode, cooperation in applied scientific research and service to the local community, etc., and have a profound foundation for co-operation, a broad space for co-operation and a good prospect for co-operation. It is believed that through this exchange of teachers and students, the cooperation between the two sides will be closer, the results will be more prominent, and the friendship will be deeper. Finally, he wished the exchange a complete success and hoped that everyone could spend a pleasant time, gain a precious friendship and leave a good memory at the foot of Mount Tai, the shore of the Yellow River and the campus of the hometown of Confucius.

Professor Ulla, the head of the Finnish side of the Sino-Finnish Co-operation Programme, expressed her gratitude to the university for the welcome and arrangement of the programme, summarized the results of the co-operation between the two universities in the past ten years, and expressed her delight at the good operation and the results of the Sino-Finnish Co-operation Programme. She pointed out that she hoped the exchange visit of Finnish students would raise the cooperation between the two universities to a new height, and sincerely invited the teachers and students of the Qilu University of Technology to exchange and visit Tampere University of Applied Sciences.

On behalf of the visiting students, Veikka Rajala expressed gratitude for the warm reception of the university , hoping to learn more about the development of Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences) through this visit, and share the harvest and joy with the teachers and students in Finland.

After the meeting, the teachers and students of Tampere University of Applied Sciences visited the ceramic Museum, the engineering training center, the winemaking center, the State Key Laboratory of Bio-based Materials and Green Papermaking, and the Finnish teachers also started a three-week project teaching work.
