Finnish Delegation Visited Oilu University of Technology (SDAS)

On October 30, the delegation from Vantaa business development bureau of Finland, a sister city of Jinan, and representatives from two universities in Helsinki were accompanied by staff from overseas Chinese affairs office of Jinan for an exchange visit. Liu Mengde, deputy head of the university (SDAS), met with the delegation.The office of academic affairs, the international cooperation office and the heads of relevant colleges attended the talks

Liu Mengde, on behalf of the school, warmly welcomed the delegation and introduced the basic situation of the school (SDAS) from the aspects of talent training, scientific research service, talent team construction and plans for international education and implementation of international education. Liu hopes that the school (SDAS) can establish friendly cooperative relations with Vantaa city and the two universities, seek common development on the basis of equality, mutual trust and win-win cooperation, and make contributions to the cooperation between the two cities and the exchanges and cooperation in higher education between the two countries.

 Mr. Jose Vananda, director of the commercial development bureau of Vantaa, briefly introduced the cooperation between Jinan and Vantaa, and hoped that the two Finnish schools present could establish friendly and cooperative relations with our school. Subsequently, Mr. Kirsten Van Kerwahn, vice President of Laurea University of Applied Sciences and Ms. Anna Marie verkuena, director of research and development atMitberia University of Applied Sciences respectively introduced the history of their school, subject setting, professional characteristics, international cooperation, and with the expression in such aspects as teaching and scientific research cooperation intention.

In the following talks, the two sides had in-depth discussions on teacher and student exchanges, mutual recognition of credits, cooperation in running schools and co-holding international conferences, and reached preliminary cooperation intention. The two sides also had in-depth discussions on participating in the most influential Slush technology venture investment conference in the world, future intelligent transportation, acceleration of technology enterprises and school-enterprise cooperation.
