Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences) is a provincial key university formed by the integration of the original Qilu University of Technology, Shandong Academy of Sciences and other high-quality educational scientific research resources. It is a master's degree authorized institution approved by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and the first bachelor degree authorization unit in the country.


The school has 73 undergraduate majors, 14 master's degree authorized first-level disciplines, 9 engineering master's programs authorized fields, 3 art masters authorized fields, 1 financial master's authorized fields, 2 translation master's authorized fields covering engineering, science, literature ,economics, management, law, medicine, and arts in various disciplines .There are more than 30,000 students.


The school currently has more than 3,000 faculty members, more than 2,500 full-time teachers and full-time scientific research personnel, more than 1,100 senior professional technical staff, 37 doctoral tutors, and more than 570 master tutors. The school has a total of more than 220 people, including Double-employed Academicians, Foreign Academicians, National Thousand People Plan Specially-invited Expert, National Chief Foreign Experts, Changjiang Scholars, National talents, Ministry of Education high-end talents and Taishan scholars.


The school has nearly 20 national science and technology platforms, including the State Key Laboratory of Bio-based Materials and Green Paper, the National Marine Monitoring Equipment Engineering Technology Research Center, the National Super-computing Jinan Center, and the National Industrial Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance. The provincial and ministerial level platforms has more than 110.

It fully implements the opinions of the national postgraduate education and teaching reform, improves the training mechanism, optimizes teaching content, standardizes training links, and constantly improves the teaching and research environment. Over the past five years, graduate students have received more than 20 provincial-level awards.
