Kyiv College held the opening ceremony for the class of 2024 freshmen
On the afternoon of September 19, the opening ceremony of the 2024 freshmen of Kyiv Academy was held in the Academic Lecture Hall of the office building of Changqing Campus. Wu Yantao, Secretary of the Party Committee of the University (hospital), Duan Peiyong, President of the University (hospital), Ivan, President of the Kyiv State University of Technology and Design, attended the opening ceremony. Kyiv Academy 2024 freshmen and all the faculty, heads of relevant departments and units of the school (institute), some teachers of Kyiv State University of Technology and Design attended the ceremony.
Before the opening ceremony, Wu Yantao met with Ivan and expressed his welcome and thanks for his arrival, and briefly introduced a series of achievements made by the school in cooperation in running a school. Wu Yantao said that the university attaches great importance to the cooperation with Kyiv State University of Technology and Design, and the cooperation between the two schools not only contributes to academic exchanges, but also promotes cultural mutual learning and enhances the friendship between the two peoples. It is hoped that the two sides will further strengthen exchanges and cooperation and jointly open a new chapter in higher education foreign exchanges and cooperation.
Ivan said that Kiev National University of Technology and Design will make every effort to ensure that its teachers carry out teaching work in China, and demonstrate its firm determination and positive attitude to promote international education exchanges with practical actions.
At the opening ceremony, Duan Peiyong delivered a speech in English. He put forward four hopes to the students: First, aim high, set up lofty ideals, assume the responsibility of national and national rejuvenation, and become ideal young people in the new era. The second is to study hard, practice excellent skills, constantly improve professional quality and comprehensive ability, and cultivate innovative thinking and practical ability. The third is to cultivate morality, cultivate good moral character, abide by the rules, respect multicultural, solidarity and mutual help, and jointly create a harmonious and civilized campus. The fourth is the courage to innovate, dare to take on responsibilities, dare to challenge authority, break through tradition, actively explore new knowledge, and contribute wisdom and strength to social progress.
In his speech, President Ivan said that Kyiv State University of Technology and Design very much values the friendship and cooperation with Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences), and hopes that the two sides can further expand the cooperation space in the future and contribute to the innovation and development of higher education. At the same time, he taught the students to cherish their time, study hard, realize their dreams, and make their own contributions to the progress and development of China.
Teacher representative Zhang Feifei encouraged the students to complete the role transition as soon as possible, set firm goals, be diligent and steadfast, keep an open mind, and learn to face setbacks.
As a representative of the students, Ms. Ji Xinping shared her learning experience, and encouraged the students to cherish the learning opportunities, remain curious, and actively participate in activities to improve their comprehensive quality.
Freshman representative Feng Jichen said that he will carry the expectations of his parents and the instructions of his teachers, set the standard for excellent seniors and elder sisters, take root in the fertile soil of the University of Technology (Science and Technology Institute), and strive to grow into a talent.

It was the birthday of four new students of Kyiv College, Wu Yantao, Duan Peiyong and Ivan cut the cake with them, and all the teachers and students sang the birthday song together, so that the happy note opened a new chapter of students' beautiful university life.
The representatives of the new students of Kyiv College recited "We are Coming, Engineering University" with passion, expressing their joy and longing to become a member of Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences).
Finally, the whole audience sang "Sing the Motherland" in unison, and the opening ceremony was successfully concluded in an impassioned song.
