The school has added two more winners of the Chinese Government Friendship Award
Recently, the awarding ceremony of the 2024 Chinese Government Friendship Award was held in the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. State Councilor Chen Yiqin presented the award to the foreign experts. Two foreign experts recommended by our university were listed, which is the second time that two experts were listed at the same time.
The Chinese Government Friendship Award is the highest award established by the Chinese government to recognize foreign experts who have made outstanding contributions to China's modernization drive and reform and opening up. A total of 100 foreign experts will receive this award in 2024.
Since the integration of science and education, the University has actively carried out international exchanges and cooperation focusing on the needs of national strategic emerging industries and key technologies for regional development, accelerated the introduction and construction of a team of foreign experts, and effectively promoted the internationalization, diversification and interdisciplinary collaboration of the university's scientific research team and talent training. The University has cultivated and witnessed seven foreign experts winning the Chinese Government Friendship Award. This is not only a high recognition of their individual outstanding contributions by the state, but also an affirmation of the school's international exchange and cooperation. The University will continue to take international exchanges and cooperation as a link, build a mutually beneficial and win-win international cooperation system, accelerate the internationalization of talent co-education, scientific research co-creation, platform co-construction, and achievement sharing, and effectively promote the construction of a high-level university with high-quality international cooperation.
