A delegation of teachers and students from Tampere University of Applied Sciences, Finland visited
On March 12, Professor Mika Mecklin from Tampere University of Applied Sciences, Finland, led a delegation of teachers and students to visit Qilu University of Technology(SDAS) .Wu Yantao, Secretary of the Party Committee of Qilu University of Technology(SDAS) and Liu Yu, deputy secretary of the Party Committee attended the symposium. Department of International Cooperation and Department of Chemistry and Pharmaceutical attended the discussion. The meeting was chaired by Yang Hetong, Director of the International Cooperation Department.
Wu Yantao, on behalf of Qilu University of Technology(SDAS), welcomed the delegation from Tampere University of Applied Sciences. He said that in recent years, the two universities have built a bridge of exchanges and mutual learning through academic exchanges, cooperation in running schools and joint education of talents, and have continuously opened a new chapter of deepening cooperation and win-win development. In the next step, it is hoped that through the establishment of a long-term mechanism for cooperation in education, scientific research, and teacher-student exchanges and visits, the two universities can carry out higher level, higher quality and deeper education cooperation, and build a new pattern of cooperation and development featuring two-way promotion, positive interaction and synergy.
Liu Yu briefly introduced the basic situation of Qilu University of Technology(SDAS) and the cooperation between the two universities in more than 10 years, hoping that the two sides will strengthen interaction and exchanges, deepen cooperation in scientific and technological innovation, personnel training, platform construction and other aspects, and jointly improve the internationalization level and level of the school.
Professor Mika Mecklin expressed his gratitude to Qilu University of Technology(SDAS) for its warm reception and hoped that the two universities would continue to maintain close ties, promote the implementation of more high-level scientific research projects, strive to produce a number of high-quality landmark scientific research achievements, and inject new impetus and accumulate new momentum for academic co-construction, talent training and coordinated development.
Two students, Roosa Kupi and Rasmus Heino, introduced the contents of the visit project and their personal feelings respectively. They said that through this exchange, they not only broadened their academic horizons, but also deeply realized the importance of cross-cultural communication. We look forward to holding a variety of cultural activities to provide more platforms and opportunities for young students of the two countries to exchange and learn from each other.
The delegation visited Qilu University of Technology(SDAS) laboratories, the Ceramic Museum and the Cosmetics Research Centre. Professor Mika Mecklin teaches offline courses for Chinese and Finnish applied chemistry students.
