International Forum on Renewable Energy between China (Shandong) and Brazil Held in Jinan
On September 11th, the China (Shandong) - Brazil International Forum on Renewable Energy was held in Jinan. President Duan Peiyong attended the forum and delivered a speech. Relevant officials from the International Cooperation Office and the Energy Department of the Qilu University of Technology（SDAS）as well as over 50 experts and scholars from China and Brazil participated in the meeting.
In his speech, Duan Peiyong represented the Qilu University of Technology（SDAS）to extend congratulations on the convening of the forum and express his welcome to the experts who came to guide. He stated that this forum is an important measure to implement the outcomes of the provincial leaders' visit, and it is also a specific action to promote innovation cooperation between Shandong Province and the State of São Paulo in Brazil under the framework of the summit mechanism for friendly provincial leaders. He introduced the latest progress of the Qilu University of Technology（SDAS）in energy technology innovation and explained the relevant measures for mechanism innovation in supporting the green and high-quality development of our province through the integrated platform of "government, industry, academia, research, and application". The Qilu University of Technology（SDAS）will take this forum as an opportunity to actively cooperate with the provincial-level work arrangements, promote the implementation and implementation of the China-Brazil cooperation framework agreement, accelerate the entity operation of the "Shandong-São Paulo Smart Low-Carbon Energy Technology Cooperation Innovation Center", and further deepen practical cooperation between the two sides in renewable energy and low-carbon technology application.
The forum is guided by the Shandong Provincial Department of Science and Technology, hosted by Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences), and organized by the Energy Research Institute of Shandong Academy of Sciences. The theme of the forum is "Low-carbon Technology and Green Development", focusing on the layout and technological innovation of renewable energy industries in Shandong Province and the State of São Paulo, Brazil. Through a series of activities such as keynote speeches, special discussions, and enterprise research, it builds an international talent and industry-university-researcher connection platform. Experts and representatives from domestic universities and research institutions, such as the University of Campinas State of Brazil, the Qingdao Institute of Bioenergy and Process Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shandong University of Finance and Economics, the Shandong International Science and Technology Cooperation Innovation Community, and Shandong Guoshun Construction Group Co., Ltd., engaged in in-depth exchanges on energy digital transformation and new green low-carbon technology research and development, providing international intellectual support for the transformation of new and old economic drivers in Shandong Province.
At the meeting, the Chinese and Pakistani sides exchanged and discussed the latest progress and cooperation plans in areas such as scientific and technological innovation, talent cultivation, and platform construction.
