Delegation of Teachers and Students from Tampere University of Applied Sciences Visits Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences)
On March 13, a 14-member delegation of teachers and students from Tampere University of Applied Sciences, led by Wang Yue, Director of the Global Exchange Center, visited Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences). The two sides held a forum to deepen cooperation and expand youth exchange platforms.
Liu Yu, Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee, attended the discussion and interacted with the Finnish teachers and students. Relevant officials from the Office of International Cooperation and the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Engineering also participated. The event was presided over by Shao Xiaobo, Director of the International CooperationOffice .
This visit marks the third consecutive year that a teacher-student delegation from Tampere University of Applied Sciences has visited our university, demonstrating the close bond between the two institutions in talent development and cultural exchange.
Liu Yu extended a warm welcome to the returning delegation. He pointed out that sustained and in-depth educational exchanges have not only enhanced mutual understanding and trust between the two sides, but also served as an important bond for the younger generation to strengthen friendship and promote intercultural dialogue.
He reviewed the more than ten years of cooperation between the two universities, introduced the basic profile and development strategy of the University, and expressed willingness to take this exchange as an opportunity to further expand cooperation in student exchanges, joint training, cultural interactions and other forms, so as to improve the quality of international talent cultivation and help young students grow into new-generation talents with global competence.
Wang Yue thanked the University for the warm reception and the long-term practical cooperation. She noted that the sound foundation of cooperation between the two universities provides a strong guarantee for launching more high-quality talent programs. The two sides will continue to maintain close communication to further advance China-Finland educational cooperation and create more diverse and meaningful interaction opportunities for young people of both countries.
During the discussion session, Finnish student representatives shared their experiences and gains from the exchange program. They said that through on-site visits and cultural interactions, they had not only broadened their academic horizons but also deepened their understanding and recognition of cross-cultural communication. They looked forward to more opportunities to study and collaborate with Chinese peers in the future, gaining friendship and growth through exchanges.
During the visit, the delegation toured the State Key Laboratory of Biobased Fiber Manufacturing and Green Papermaking, the Ceramics Museum, the Engineering Training Center, and the Brewing Center.
